Shipping Information:
Most lightweight shipments are sent by FedEx or UPS and delivered to an easily accessible area around your home/office. A heavy or oversized shipment requires the use of a Common Carrier and is typically curbside delivery only. Common carrier drivers travel alone and may ask for your assistance in unloading the items from the rear of the truck to help prevent any damage to the merchandise. A signature is required to establish proof of delivery, please be sure to count all boxes to verify that you have received your entire order prior to signing. Additional delivery fees such as Ferry Fees/Gated Community Fees that are required to access your address will be billed to the consumer when incurred. PLEASE NOTE* White Glove does not include assembly of Bunk beds, Loft Beds, or hanging wall items. This is to prevent damage to your home or property.
Deliveries by freight companies (Non-UPS/FedEx Ground) follow the policies as set forth by the Freight Company:
- Require a person to be present to sign for the delivery at the time the furniture is delivered.
- If you live in a Rural/Remote area, your delivery may be delayed, as carriers may only delivery to that area once or twice a month.
- For residential deliveries the freight company will schedule a time for delivery with you. Freight companies do not schedule appointments with businesses.
- KincaidFurnitureofDC.com has the right to charge any and all applicable storage fees if your order is not accepted within 10 days of the delivery crew contacting you to arrange delivery
- Additional delivery fees such as Ferry Fees/Gated Community Fees that are required to access your address will be billed to the consumer when incurred.
- Typical freight delivery hours are Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, with the exception of holidays.

How Long Will It Take To Receive My Order?
Most orders will leave the manufacturer within 2-6 weeks. Transit time for In Home White Glove Platinum Delivery is approximately 10 days depending on your location and what delivery date you set with the delivery company.
Delivery Attempts
If you have made arrangement for a delivery date and are not home or available for this delivery the delivery team will return your order back to the terminal there will be an additional $55.00 attempt fee charged to you upon re-delivery.
Signing Deliveries as Complete:
A signature is required to establish proof of delivery, please be sure to count all boxes to verify that you have received your entire order prior to signing. If there are missing cartons and bill of lading is not signed short, replacements cost will be the responsibility of the customers.

All purchases are eligible for Platinum White Glove Home Delivery service. This fee is available upon request over the phone.

When your order arrives at the agent closest to your home, you will be notified and a delivery appointment will be set. These appointments are typically Monday through Friday during regular business hours. Saturday deliveries are not standard and upon your request may be scheduled with an additional charge to you.
Platinum White Glove Home Delivery Service what to expect on day of delivery:
Upon arrival, your delivery crew will ask you to direct them to the room your furniture will be placed. We ask that prior to delivery you have the room available for unobstructed installation of your purchase. We also ask that the pathway from your door to the room be free to avoid delays.
Your delivery crew will: un-package your product, provide final inspection, and install as requested. Light assembly of up to 30 minutes for bed frame set-up is also included. The shippers will not hookup any electrical or component wires.
We ask that you carefully inspect your delivery for order accuracy, and to insure that there is no damage or defects prior to releasing the delivery crew. Once satisfied, you will be asked to sign the proof of delivery receipt which releases your delivery crew of any damages.
If any damage or defects are discovered, Please write “Product Damaged” on the bill of lading they would ask you to sign, then we ask you to refuse your delivery and contact us immediately at 1-888-924-4627 to address your concern. Kincaid Home Furnishings will not be liable for product damages reported after you have signed your proof of delivery receipt and released your delivery crew. After installation is accomplished to your satisfaction, all packaging materials will be taken away.
Our White Glove Gold Delivery Service for Orders Over $1500.00
Our White Glove Delivery Service is the best type of in-home delivery service available today. When this service is provided or selected, it means the furniture will be delivered into your home, into the room of your choice with 15 minutes of assembly without tools (if so chosen). We understand that it is very important that you receive your new furniture in perfect damage-free condition, that's why we pay extra to have your furniture delivered by White Glove service. This means that every box of furniture is pre-inspected for damage prior to delivery.

Bronze Shipping for Orders up to $1499.99
- Your purchase will be sent to you by a service that is superior to all other doorstep, threshold and standard home delivery services. Our partner insures greater responsibility in making sure your selection arrives safely into your home to insure a carefree delivery.
- A two person delivery crew will deliver your furniture inside the threshold.
- Up to two (2) flights of stairs prior to the threshold (4-15 Steps). If any piece weighs more than 300lbs. or pieces are greater than four, shipment will only be available for delivery to the First Dry Area or Garage. Shipper's palletized or crated merchandise will be delivered to the First Dry Area or Garage only.
- We ask that you carefully inspect your delivery before you sign the BOL for the delivery team for order accuracy, and to insure that there is no damage or defects prior to releasing the delivery crew. Once satisfied, you will be asked to sign the proof of delivery receipt which releases your delivery crew of any damages. If you suspect damage please write “Cartons damaged, contents subject to inspection” on your delivery ticket.

Tax Information:
If you live outside the states of Virginia, Maryland or the District of Columbia sales tax does not apply to your order. Some states may bill you directly for "Use Tax", which is similar to Sales Tax. Use tax affects items purchased outside the state you live in which are shipped within the state for your use, for which you did not pay Sales Tax on. You are responsible for all Use or Sales taxes billed by your State (other than Virginia Sales Tax).

When will my credit card be charged?
We have a pre-pay policy to protect ourselves from fraudulent orders. Your credit card will be charged, if not immediately, 24 to 72 hours after you submit your order.
General Return Policy:
At KincaidFurnitureofDC.Com, we want you to be extremely happy with your furniture purchase. Therefore, you may rest assured that you can return any product within 15 days of receipt under the following conditions:
- All returned products must be in original condition and packaging; otherwise, additional charges may be applied. Unfortunately, we cannot take returns of products that have been assembled or modified.
- Prior return authorization is required by calling Toll Free 1-888-924-4627, or using our Contact Us Form. Failure to obtain return authorization will result in your return be refused and shipped back to you at your cost.
- The initial freight charges plus a minimum of a 20% restocking fee will be deducted from the credit given. Return freight and shipping insurance is the responsibility of the customer. If at any time KincaidFurnitureofDC.com, its subsidiaries, or the manufacture is billed for return freight, that amount will be deducted from your final refund or charged back to you if refund has already been issued.
- Our products are offered with free shipping, so please be aware that if you return one of these products the actual shipping costs will be deducted from your return refund. We are not immediately billed for freight so an invoice from the freight company must be received before we can credit your account.
- For undeliverable or refused shipments, the customer will be responsible for the initial freight (including actual shipping costs in a free shipping offer), and any and all return charges for freight, plus a minimum of a 20% restocking fee. The customer is responsible for the cost of insuring the return freight. Please note that items sold as "No Returns" or “Non-Returnable” cannot be returned.
General Damage Policy:
We only carry well packaged products; however shipping damages are always possible. If your item appears to be damaged, please follow the instructions below:
Severe carton damage and/or product damage - Refuse damaged carton(s) Note on the delivery ticket that the boxes/items are damaged.
Minor carton damage, unsure of product condition - note delivery ticket that items, boxes or contents are damaged. If the boxes are un-opened please note on this ticket “cartons damaged, items subject to inspection”.
Good carton condition (no sign of damage)- sign for cartons in good condition on delivery ticket
- It is important that you contact us within 48 hours of delivery, as freight claims need to be filed within that time frame. Notification of damage after 48 hours of delivery may cause you to be subject to further fees for replacement.
- If your package appears even slightly damaged, write "Package Damaged" when you sign for delivery. This will allow us to prove damage to the shipping company. Failure to write this on the delivery ticket may affect your ability to receive a return or replacement.
- If your package is significantly damaged, you should refuse receipt of the damaged item only, please accept all products that are not damaged and contact Customer Service with the item you refused and a replacement will be ordered. If you have already accepted and signed for a package that has "concealed damage" or there are parts missing, contact us right away and we will ship you the replacement parts free of charge. If there are multiple parts damage, we may, at our option have the carrier pick up the package and we will send you a replacement. DO NOT dispose of any damaged items until authorization is given to you in writing. All returned products should be in the original packaging and unassembled. KincaidFurnitureofDC.Com reserves the right to require photographs and/or proof of any damaged product.
To request replacement parts please contact KincaidFurnitureofDC.Com using the Contact Us Form or call us Toll Free at 1-888-924-4627. KincaidFurnitureofDC.com reserves the right to provide replacement parts or replacement items for any damaged part or piece of furniture to fulfill the customer’s original order. If damaged orders are canceled they will be subject to the guidelines of the return & cancellation policy and be assessed a minimum of a 20% restocking fee plus shipping fees both ways.
General Cancellation Policy:
Orders canceled prior to shipment will incur a 5% cancellation fee. Orders that are canceled after shipment has occurred will be subject to the rules of the return policy. The return, damage and cancellation policies above are General Policies for all products. Individual products may have unique rules and regulations and will be listed below under the Individual Product Policy. In the event there is a conflict between the terms and conditions of the General Policy and Individual Product Policy, the Individual Product Policy shall control.
Individual Product Policies:
Due to its custom nature, upholstered items are not able to be canceled.
Backorder Policy:
Orders must be paid in full prior to them being sent to the warehouse for shipment. If a product is on backorder or becomes on backorder after the order has been placed you will be sent an email with the current backorder status of your order as soon as we are notified. Paid orders have first priority of being shipped out once the backordered item is back in stock. If you have more than one item on your order the entire order will be held until everything is available. You can request that the available items be shipped out now and the backordered item when it becomes available. However, there are additional shipping charges to ship partial orders.
Manufacturers Restocking Fee:
A minimum 20% restocking fee is imposed by the manufacturer, or their authorized distributor on merchandise returned. Return of merchandise will not be accepted without prior written consent and shipping instructions. Unauthorized returns will be returned to the customer freight collect. Closeout, discontinued, and surplus merchandise may not be returned. Shipping instructions will be provided, if authorized by the manufacturer or their representative.
Free Shipping
All products that are Free Shipping are clearly marked "Free Shipping". Any item not clearly marked "Free Shipping" is not Free Shipping. Free Shipping is offered only in the 48 contiguous US states. We promise you won't be surprised with any hidden charges. The fees you see for products offered with free shipping is exactly what you'll pay, unless you live in Virginia, Maryland or the District of Columbia where sales tax applies. Please be aware that if you return an item marked as Free Shipping, the actual shipping costs will be deducted from your return refund. Not all products qualify for free shipping. Products that do qualify are clearly marked "Free Shipping". If you order a product without free shipping, the correct shipping fee will be calculated in the shopping cart when you enter your zip code or by a sales representative over the phone.
